2024 Thompson Vineyard Syrah

Thompson was the first vineyard-designated Syrah we produced in 1998. Year after year this site  produces this beautifully quintessential Santa Barbara Syrah showing dark fruits and peppery notes.  It’s always the lightest in color, but has the most powerful aromatics of wild flowers and native underbrush. It’s a medium to full-bodied Syrah that is remarkably classic, supple, and elegant. With a delightful tannic structure, This has the most delicate and ‘pretty’ characteristics of our Syrah’s.  Thompson is an excellent choice for aging and will evolve gracefully over the next 10 -15  years.
